Spain’s Most Amusing Destination Your Tourist Guide Won’t Tell You

Spain occupies 85% of the Iberian Peninsula and its history is one that involves the world influencing almost every part of the globe with its culture and ethnicity. Today, Spain is one of the world’s most visited countries mainly due to its sites and attractions that are unique in every way. People who visit the country are sure to fall in love with its beauty, elegance, and secrets that can keep any man coming back for more.

There are a lot of places to go to in Spain and if you’re out there on a tour be sure to check out these places that are world famous and see some sites that will make your eye pop out. Here is my list of places that you definitely would want to visit:

  • Alhambra of Granada – located at Calle Real de la Alhambra, Granada, Spain.
  • Mezquita de Cordoba – located at Calle del Cardinal Herrero, Cordoba, Spain.
  • El Escorial – located at Av Juan de Borbon y Battemberg, San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Madrid, Spain.
  • Sagrada Familia Basilica – located at Carrer de Mallorca, Barcelona, Spain.
  • Ibiza – an island located 49 miles off the coast of the city of Valencia in Eastern Spain.

I hope you don’t mind that I only included where to find these places and no other brief description because although I would like for you to visit these places I also would like you to try the secret destinations in Spain that your tour guide or your travel agent probably wouldn’t include in your itinerary, however, we can take a look at those destinations and see if that piques your interest.

  • First on our list is Begur in Costa Brava, Spain. The area is approximately 40 minutes from Girona on the Costa Brava, it’s an inland town which also has a lot to offer. Food is great at Catalan bars and restaurants together with locally produced wines to compliment your meal. If you want to enjoy a little recreation Begur is also renowned for its diving and snorkeling spots.
  • If you want to get away from the entire crowd in Ibiza, we have the second in our list which Cala Llentrisca. This place is one of the hardest to reach beaches in Ibiza but also one of the most beautiful beaches that you can lay your eyes on. If you’re planning to visit make sure to bring enough supplies as there are no services here whatsoever.
  • Third we have Burgos. There are other gothic landmarks located in Burgos but the Burgos Cathedral is one that could rival the Sagrada Familia Basilica in Barcelona so be sure to check this place out.
  • La Barceloneta is the fourth in our list of secret destinations. It’s a neighborhood located at Ciutat Vella district in Barcelona. La Barceloneta is known for its beach and its nightclubs and restaurants along the boardwalk. Casa de Barceloneta is a small museum that you might also be interested in visiting, it is in the center of the neighborhood which is housed in a preserved building dating back to 1761.

The places I listed are all worth going to and if you haven’t gone yet then this might be the time to book a flight and visit Spain or if you don’t have the luxury of time you can also have a lot of fun even when you’re just at home or anywhere all you need is a reliable internet connection.
